Indianapolis' Expert Personal Trainer

I have 15 years of personal training experience as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. My areas of training expertise include: Sport Performance, Cardiovascular Fitness, Weight Loss, and Injury Prevention.

In 2018, I earned my doctorate in Exercise Sciences/Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University with my NASA funded research investigating skeletal muscle adaptations to heat stress and its effects on atrophy. I am currently a research scientist investigating skeletal muscle responses and adaptations in the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Cardiovascular Fitness

Throughout my graduate studies at UNLV (2011-2013) and BYU (2013-2018), I conducted laboratory assessments of cardiovascular fitness, including tests for VO2max, lactate threshold, maximal lactate steady state, and submaximal metabolic profiling. I have tested elite, amatuer, and novice athletes across many sports disciplines and have coached numerous high school distance runners to state championship titles in Cross-Country and Track & Field. On the roads, ALL of my runners have achieved new personal bests at distances from the mile up to the marathon, with many Boston Marathon qualifiers along the way! Muscular Fitness

I started my personal training career in 2007 at Gold's Gym and then VASA fitness. As a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I designed and implemented training programs to improve muscular strength and endurance. I have worked with elite athletes, competitive fitness athletes, bodybuilders, and novice gym goers! In addition, I pride myself in my work with elderly and medically at-risk individuals to ensure their participation in safe and effective exercise.

In addition, I have helped hundreds of people lose body fat, gain muscle, and transition to healthy habits for a longer, more fulfilling life! I can teach you the most effective ways to improve muscular fitness, body composition, and physical performance!
